Sri Lanka received USD 1 million in emergency relief assistance from the People’s Republic of China to support communities affected by the recent adverse weather caused by Cyclone Ditwah. The donation was handed over by H.E. Qi Zhenhong, Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka, and accepted on behalf of the Sri Lankan government. Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath expressed his deep appreciation to the Chinese government, a longstanding friend of Sri Lanka, for its steadfast support during this time of crisis
